- Single doors – the doors require a ½” overlay on all 4 sides so for a single door. If your opening is 20”w x 20”h, the door size would be 21” w x 21” h.
- Double doors – the doors require a ½” overlay along the perimeter of the opening, and a 1/8" reveal between your doors. If your opening is 20”w x 20”h, the door sizes would be (2) 10 7/16” w x 21” h.
- Measure from the inside edge of one side to the corner.
- Add 1/2" to your width. (1/2" is the industry standard and the overlay we recommend)
- Subtract the thickness of the new door from width measurement(most doors will be 3/4" thick, unless otherwise indicated on the doors page). This will ensure each door has enough room to fold in on itself.
- Repeat these steps for the other door in this corner.
- For instructions on how to order a lazy susan, please view this process under Ordering and Lead Times. You can also use our Lazy Susan door measurement calculator to help.
Most of our doors are 3/4" thick, while some of our doors are 7/8" thick. 7/8" thick doors will be noted in that door styles description.

Lazy Susan Boring + Hinge Assembly
Standard European Hinges
- These would be the 105 Degree and 120 Degree Hinges from the Boring and Hinge Option selection
- These come in two pieces; the mounting bracket that's installed to your cabinet box/frame and the hinge that mounts the door to the mounting bracket.
- Removing the doors is done easily by pressing a tab towards the back of the mounting bracket. This is helpful in places where you need to get into, like beneath your kitchen sink to work on leaks or installing a disposal.
- Since the mounting bracket is almost 3" in length, it will consume space in your cabinet. This is emphasized if your cabinet frame is not flush with your box. This is the biggest draw back with standard length hinges.
- Installation is easier with standard over compact since you install the bracket and hinge separately, then snap the hinge onto the bracket.
- The hinge will hold the door tighter against your cabinet box/frame.
Compact European Hinges
- These would be both Compact Hinges from the Boring and Hinge Option selection
- These hinges are smaller and will consume far less space in your cabinets. This is most important where space is limited like where you store your pots and pans.
- Installation of your doors is more difficult with these since you'll need to attach the hinges to your door, then mount them all together to your cabinet.
- The hinge holds the door 1/4" away from your box/frame.
Below is a top view of the gap created between the Compact hinge (left) and Standard hinge (right)
The page you're on is likely a non-arch door. These doors can be rotated over to be a left or a right. See below for a picture representation.
Watch this video for a full explanation on how to adjust your doors with hinge adjustments.
If you're looking at the front of the door and you plan to install hinges on the right, you'd select 'Right' for hinge location.
If boring is selected, the door will receive two bore holes 3" from the top and bottom of the door to the center of the cup. If the door is 40" or taller, a 3rd boring will be added directly centered between the top and bottom bore holes.
You will have the option to select your bore pattern if you already have hinges. If you select one of the options with hinges, your door will be bored for that specific hinge.
